Shoulder flexion mobility with exercise ball
Preserve overhead range while the biceps tendon stays relaxed.
Complete
Why it is used in rehab
Lifting into flexion can hurt an irritated biceps tendon; the ball supports the arms (PDF p. 442).
Starting position
Kneel with straight arms resting on a physio ball, thumbs up.
Step-by-step
- Lean forward so the ball rolls away and your shoulders move overhead.
- Hold 20–30 seconds; 2–3 reps.
Movement mechanics: Passive flexion using body weight.
